Abstract :
Air compressor is a source that produces and store the energy required for braking and is a crucial role for the safety of metro. Its performances can degrade significantly in the absence of periodical inspection and maintenance. So it is necessary to do periodical performances experiments by inspection teams. Performances inspection can provide an indication of the condition of the pneumatic braking system. The interrelationship between pressure, temperature, flow, speed, etc. for all parts of the pneumatic system can use to diagnose faults using performances inspection. A new air compressor performances inspection system based on the PCI and LabVIEW platforms has been developed and validated in the experimental trials presented in the paper.
