Abstract
This paper deals with the use of a method that allows the reduction of the calculation time of the exponential of matrices applied to the numerical simulation of static power converters. The technique consists in the diagonalization of the dynamical matrix A. This method leads to a simple analytical solution, allowing a reduction of the calculation time. A simplified algorithm of the method is presented and its validity is verified by computer simulation of various structures
