Abstract :
The Teaching Piano is a teaching device for a mentally and physically disabled child. By combining a user interface with a teacher´s programmable interface, plus the use of flash cards and attention maintaining devices such as the piano theme and talking Mickey Mouse heads, the Teaching Piano can teach a child number sequencing, alphabet sequencing, days of the week, word-picture association, and more. The Teaching Piano can also be played like a real piano, thus creating an intimate connection between the child and the Teaching Piano as well as provide recreational fulfillment
