Abstract :
A modified CORDIC-based cosine and sine generator is presented in this paper. In traditional CORDIC-based cosine and sine generator design, it is necessary to iterate n times to get an n-bit precise output. In other words, a single step makes a single constant to assure one-bit precise output. This paper brings forwards a new method to make a single step to get two constants to assure 2-bit precise output. This new method makes iterative times to reduce by about 1/3 to speed up the design.
