Abstract :
Aiming at the actual multiple loading conditions of a motion mechanism, fatigue life analysis is conducted for different load levels based on finite element method (FEM) simulation. A simplified global finite element model of the motion mechanism is established. The local load on the key structural components is analyzed according to the load spectrum absorbed by the motion mechanism for multiple loading conditions. Local finite element models of key components are then established. The stress distribution and maximum stress value are analyzed. Fatigue Life of key components of the motion mechanism is calculated with safety life analysis method, further to get the fatigue life of the entire motion mechanism. The results show that the upper rod installation connector of the motion mechanism is the key component with the shortest fatigue life. For multiple loading conditions, the result of fatigue life analysis on the motion mechanism based on FEM is close to the result of fatigue test, with high accuracy.
