Abstract :
An adaptive delta modulation (ADM) codec has high adaptive efficiency and excellent noise immunity which is specially suited for speech coded system. This paper proposes a novel adaptive delta modulation speech codec, which reuses the same circuit for the step generator and the predict code generator by proper controlling in the different intervals, reducing the size of die and the power dissipation.
