Abstract :
The paper presents the electric and magnetic fields distribution at steady-state operation in a very recently rehabilitated 400/220 kV voltage power station, taking into account the on-site equipments arrangement. The experimental measurement values are compared with the public and professional electromagnetic field exposure limits imposed by the EU 2004/40/EC Directive and by the local legislation. Colour maps of the electric and magnetic field distribution are presented in order to easily locate the high intensity field zones inside the power station. The main conclusions and the measures proposed to be taken end the paper.
