Abstract :
The paper presents the V-band crosslink antenna for the advanced extremely high frequency (AEHF) satellite. The crosslink antenna provides satellite-to-satellite communication among AEHF and MILSTAR satellites. The antenna is a 6-foot Cassegrain antenna, and its feed is designed to achieve monopulse tracking at 60 GHz with a 5% frequency bandwidth. The feed assembly is a state of the art design utilizing a light MMIC auto-track modulator (ATM) instead of a conventional heavy ferrite ATM.
