Abstract
An experimental 3-band varactor diode power upconverter for SSB-AM communications has been linearized by predistortion at IF. Several types of simple predistortion linearizes have been tested and compared. Linearization factors from 10 to 22 dB have been achieved within a frequency band of 40 MHz or a dynamic range of 10 to 20 dB.
