Abstract :
The mobile antivirus software market is still at its early stage but many companies have entered this market. After analyzing the motivation of the antivirus companies, we find that the mobile antivirus market is not mature enough for so many companies to enter today. We use a game theoretical approach to examine the competition of mobile antivirus software providers. It shows that network effect plays a key role when making the market entry decisions. Companies can make more profit by entered the market early.
