Abstract :
Wind turbines change the network topology and affects on overcurrent protection philosophy. In this paper different short circuit faults including three-phase, two-phase and single-phase are considered. Also, three types of wind turbine generators such as induction, synchronous and doubly fed generators are considered during simulation. For each type of faults and generators FFT analysis is done and results are compared. Based on the obtained results, settings of digital overcurrent protection will be obtained. The sampled network is simulated by MATLAB/SIMULINK.
