Abstract
In this paper, we propose a low-profile switched-beam antenna which can be excited by a single coaxial port. Its beam direction can be reversed by switching two posts loaded into the antenna. The antenna characteristics examined by using EM simulator IE3D are presented, which provides the optimum loaded post location for producing the unidirectional pattern. Experimental results are also presented to confirm the validity of the calculation model in the simulation
