            Abstract :
The scattering of a plane electromagnetic wave by a perfectly conducting quarter plane is treated using a multipole analysis in sphero-conal (conical) coordinates, where this geometry is given as a coordinate surface. The exact surface current for an incident plane wave, which is obtained with the aid of the dyadic Green´s function of the quarter plane, serves as the source of the scattered field. The scattered far-field is then calculated by means of the bilinear form of the free-space dyadic Green´s function and by applying an appropriate series transformation technique.
