Abstract :
Breast cancer causes the death of more than 150,000 women in the United States each year. Recently, high-contrast and high-resolution microwave imaging has been extensively studied in the detection of early breast cancer. In This work, we used the confocal microwave imaging algorithm to reconstruct the detection image in three dimensions with synthetic antenna array in two configurations - rectangular array and round array. We also compare the two imaging results achieved from the two arrays, and the resolution was discussed in detail. Simulations demonstrate that both antenna arrays can catch the objects in breast tissue successfully. Only the contrast and resolution are different.
