Abstract
The design and manufacturing aspects of a tunable oven-controlled oscillator based on a thick-film hermetic hybrid are described. The goals to be achieved were volume reduction, weight reduction, power consumption reduction, keeping costs reasonable, flexibility for several applications, and ease of tuning at the frequencies of 5-10 MHz. A volume reduction of 80%, a weight reduction of 50%, and a power consumption reduction of 10%-20% were achieved.<>
