Abstract
The problems of man-machine (MM) communication in any branches of industry (medical, industrial, aeronautical, etc.) lead to develop some approaches of tasks modelization permitting the designing of MM systems. In this case, a methodology is proposed to design and formalize an operator´s task. This methodology is based on the description and comparison of two different models of human tasks: 1) an a priori model deals with a probable behaviour and 2) an a posteriori model deals with a real observed behaviour. The result constitutes a model explaining an operator´s behaviour. The description of this model is rendered by the structured analysis and design technique and synchronized Petri network theories which give an easy and formal tool directly usable by the designer
