Abstract
The development of two compact wideband aperture-coupled antennas for application in a rectenna system for microwave recycling is described. The design is based on the microstrip stacked-patch technique. In order to enhance the bandwidth stacked patches of variable size and asymmetrical crossed coupling slot have been used. Input impedance bandwidths of 3.3 GHz and 4.8 GHz for VSWR<2 have been obtained from the proposed antenna constructions. The numerical results from the simulation of the antenna constructions using CST MICROWAVE STUDIO© software are presented.
