Abstract :
A fast method to generate pseudorandom numbers based on a spatiotemporal chaotic system is proposed in this paper. The time-consuming operations in the process of generate pseudorandom numbers is replaced as possible by some fast ones, which makes the generator own faster speed. Then a new stream cipher is presented and its security is also discussed. The cryptographic properties of the pseudorandom-bit generator are analyzed. Theoretical analyses and computer simulations both confirm that the generator has good cryptographic properties and the stream cipher is secure. It can be a good candidate to guarantee the security of e-commerce.
