Abstract :
A novel configuration for finline isolators is presented. The magnetic bias field is perpendicular to the broad wall of the ferrite slab, combining resonance-t ype with field-displacement operation. 40% bandwidth in X-band with an insertion loss of 1 dB was obtained, an extension to higher frequencies is straightforward.
