Abstract :
Two kinds of compact pulsed power generators have been developed for industrial applications, one uses power MOSFETs and the other uses Sl-thyristor. The pulsed power generator using MOSFET is capable of generating high-voltage output of 5 kV, 80 A, and 240 ns at repetition rate of 2.1 MHz. The pulsed power generator using Sl-thyristor is driven by a DC power supply of 12 V while generating pulsed output of 12 kV, 100 ns at repetition rate of 2 kHz.
