  • Abstract
In summary, a microstrip-line type spin-wave amplifier was demonstrated with a power gain controlled by the pump power level. Our prototype amplifier achieved a power gain of 8.7 dB at 1.3 GHz with the pump power of 14.9 dBm (31 mW). With the use of this amplifier, spin wave based devices can be cascaded in a large area network such that the signals can propagate over a long distance without getting damped. With this spin-wave amplifier, it is thus possible that all data processing can be realized within a magnetic thin film using just the spin waves and the signals do not require to be converted into other variables like electrical voltage or current any more.
