Abstract :
In the present work we consider the mechanism of interaction of the edges of two parallel half-planes separated by a dielectric layer unbounded on both sides. The analytical expressions for the characteristics of the radiation into a free space and for the amplitudes of the eigenmodes of the dielectric layer are obtained. A numerical analysis of the relationship between these characteristics and the geometric and material parameters of the structure is carried out
