Abstract :
We discuss the application of IC card module to a secure distribution and stored system of software. A distribution system of software which can securely send a specific software product to a specified group in S users, is constructed by using conventional cryptographic system without complex key management. We propose a new structure of the IC card for which each S members can compute the common key from the group members´ identification information only without interchanging extra information in advance. After receiving the software, the user can check the software for viruses using the algebraic error detection codes of the ID card
