Abstract
This article describes an expert system implemented to assist climatologists in forecasting visibility. The forecast made is for Don-Muang Air Base in Bangkok. The system is based on a verbal model derived from an experienced human forecaster. The inference mechanism used is of fuzzy type. The system is currently investigated to assess its reliability
