  • Abstract
The electrical explosion of a cylindrical Al foil was studied. The experiments were carried out using an inductive storage facility with a current of up to 40 kA. Owing to the high inductance of the storage (240 /spl mu/H), the current was staying constant during the explosion process. The fuse explosion was studied in the time range of 0.1 ms \n\n\t\t
