Abstract :
This paper demonstrated that by embedding a simple slot close to and along the boundary of the printed pentagon monopole, a notched frequency band in the UWB operating bandwidth can be obtained and easily controlled. Especially, compare to the design proposed in Y. Kim and D.-H. Kwon (2005), the antenna dimension was largely reduced about 50%
