Abstract :
In this paper, a novel UWB printed elliptical monopole antenna is proposed, which provides about 21.6 octave measured impedance bandwidth while its overall size is only about 0.19lambdaltimes0.16lambdal. The bandwidth broadening of this design comes from three factors: an elliptical monopole shape, a trapeziform ground plane and a tapered CPW feeder
