Abstract
To overcome the limitations which occur in the Wigner-Ville Distribution (WVD), a filtering technique based on processing of the image of the Ambiguity function (AF) is proposed. This work includes a comparative study of time-frequency kernel based techniques for the analysis of ECG signals. The ECG is first converted to the analytic form to eliminate aliasing and the cross terms generated by the negative spectra. It has been shown that time-frequency analysis of the ECG is essential to capture temporal variations
