Abstract
Shows how to use a simple associative memory in application areas like pattern recognition. This special kind of associative memory is, owing to the binary weights of the synapses and binary states of its neurons, very suitable for a hardware implementation using digital VLSI technology. Due to the simplicity of the mathematical operations used for programming (training) and the recall phase, it is very fast, even in simulations on sequential computers
