Abstract :
The improvement of the bit-error rate (BER) performance of partial response continuous phase modulation (PRCPM) in mobile radio channels by using decision feedback equalization to cancel the ISI (intersymbol interference) of one adjacent bit is theoretically investigated. Closed form expressions for the average probability of error in fast fading are derived for discriminator detection with decision feedback. Numerical results are presented to compare the BER performance of discriminator detection with and without feedback equalization
