Abstract :
The Koch island fractal patch antenna is presented. The air gap between the ground plane and the dielectric substrate is used to increase the matching frequency bandwidth. The cross-polarization pattern level is decreased approximately 18 dB by deforming the patch geometry where stubs are introduced in notches of the fractal patch. With good use of the stubs, the probe feed for two orthogonal polarizations are located on the stubs, and a dual-polarized antenna is designed
