Abstract
The application of tomographic inverse scattering techniques to imaging radars is presented to realize high quality imaging in this paper. Radar imaging is treated from the viewpoint of tomographic inverse scattering. Multistatic data acquisition and the reconstruction algorithm in diffraction tomography are applied to ground penetrating radar (GPR) and ultra wideband synthetic aperture radar (UWB SAR) imaging. Spatial frequency coverage is exploited to evaluate the imaging characteristics. Theoretical and numerical results show the feasibility initially. This research has a great potential value for novel imaging radar systems.
