Abstract
The paper presents the electrically exploded switch for currents of the order of hundreds of kiloamperes with the breaking time of the order of hundreds of microseconds. Switches were developed at RFNC-VNIITF within the "BAIKAL" project for the "MOL" facility. This switch allowed the breaking time to be controlled in the range of 40...150 /spl mu/s with the overvoltage of 1.2...4.4.
