Abstract :
This paper describes a new lightweight reliable and low delay transport protocol-reliable signalling transport protocol (RSTP). It is laid on top of UDP (user datagram protocol) or other unreliable transport protocols which are designed to support the transportation of signalling messages between VoIP signalling endpoints in the IP environment with high efficiency. Comparison between RSTP and other similar protocols is also presented
