Abstract :
In this paper, the diagnosis of the faulty elements of switched array from the amplitude of the far-field pattern data is considered in the case of (on-off) faults. To address this, a genetic algorithms (GA) was employed in conjunction with the method of moment (MoM) solution in order to optimize the performance of the antenna structure. The switched parasitic array is used for determining the angular position of a distance source. The structure is simulated using MoM
