Abstract :
The paper deals with the control methods for routing optimization of bogie in rail track (i.e. rail channel) with the usage of GPS. Consequently the GPS information is used for determining of position and the curve radius track. These parameters are necessary for the tested control methods. For this research stage the experimental rail vehicle powered by the traction battery is also utilized. This vehicle has one bogie with independent rotating wheels driven by PMSM drives. At the present the testing control methods is always implemented to the superset control system of the experimental rail vehicle. The traction requirements and curve radius track have the affect to an algorithm of this control method. These algorithms are verified and corrected according to traction and driving characteristics. The aim of these research activities is achieving of wear reduction of wheels and rails during a run of tram vehicles without solid axles of bogies and increasing of running comfort.
