Abstract :
A local absorbing boundary condition (L-ABC) is developed to minimize nonphysical reflections from the artificial truncating boundary involving open region electromagnetic problems. The L-ABC based on the one-way wave equation is optimized to get zero-reflection theoretically for very wide range of incident wave angles. Numerical results show that the new technique can reduce the reflection error significantly compared with other widely used boundary conditions such as Mur´s ABC
