Abstract
This paper describes the application of electrical impedance tomography (EIT) to a plant scale mixing vessel. A cylindrical mixing tank with a diameter of 7 ft (2.13 m) has been equipped with a single plane of sensing electrodes. These sensors connect to a low-cost PC based data acquisition system, which uses a dual-opposing drive signal arrangement. Initial imaging of static discontinuities within the vessel are shown
