Abstract :
It is developed a research of the spatial resolution of the bistatic SAR and determined their potential values by means of spatial frequency method at this article. During solution it is given comparative description for resolution and ambiguity function shape of the monostatic and bistatic SAR. Special attention is attended to research the phase functions which produce the fundamental influence to the spatial response selection. The transmitter and receiver motion tracks of the bistatic SAR which providing the potential values of resolution are determined. The dependences of the spatial resolution from elevation angle of the bistatic system platforms under target are presented.
