Abstract :
The behavior of the Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) is affected by wind speed, type of generator used and the conversion technology adopted. The power management in a stand-alone wind turbine installation has to be carefully studied due to the random aspect of the wind distribution. In this paper, a stand-alone system is modeled in Matlab/Simulink environment, associated with a developed model of wind speed. An analysis based on situation when different wind distribution in a same installation zone is occurring.
