Abstract :
The element factor of each element in an array is different from the others due to the mutual interaction of the elements. The element factors of each of the elements is evaluated by solving the exact aperture fields of each radiator using the method of moments. By giving different Taylor excitation to the array, the exact radiation pattern is evaluated and compared with the array pattern without taking into account the mutual coupling. The effect of mutual coupling in array synthesis is thus modelled as an EMI problem
