Abstract :
The application of applying a periodic structure to the ground planes of the narrow slot antennas has been proposed and successfully demonstrated. In addition to large bandwidth enhancements, prototypes of the proposed antennas, constructed using an FR4 substrate and suitable for mobile communication operations, have also been successfully implemented
