Abstract :
Modern radar systems are procured with tight specifications on a large number of different parameters. It is in the interests both of the customer and of the supplier that the procedures used evaluate radar performance are mathematically rigorous, precise and as cost-effective as possible. This paper describes some methods of evaluating the performance of different modes of modern radar system and discusses the accuracy of which they are capable. The important place of modeling within these methods is emphasized.
