Abstract
In this paper, we propose a practical, fast and reliable method for calibration, which has been successfully applied to a passive (receiver only) target acquisition system. This computationally efficient algorithm, called partially blind beamforming (PBB), uses the average of all phase-voltage characteristics of the phase shifters as the initial values of a perturbation algorithm. The performance of this algorithm is compared to the exhaustive search method, namely exhaustive blind beamforming (EBB), where no information of the phase shifters is available
