Abstract :
Grain size effects for piezoelectric properties in Pb(Sc0.5 Nb0.5)0.58Ti0.42O3+0.5 mol% Nb2O5 (PSNT) polycrystalline ceramics were investigated using hot-pressed PSNT samples with a grain size from 0.72 to 3.33 μm. Large electromechanical coupling factors of kp=0.76, kt=0.56, k31=0.46, k33 =0.79, which are larger values than those prepared by normal ceramic processing, were obtained in hot-pressed PSNT with a grain size of 1.01 μm
