Abstract :
A feature Index-based algorithm is presented in the paper, which especially fits to the case that the base image is very large and real-time property is needed. It is divided into four steps: we firstly extract features of the base image, and establish feature-index table advanced; and then extract corresponding features of the sensed image; thirdly, compare the main properties of features and confirm the approximate areas which correspond to each other; finally, compute the exact similarity measure in the areas to complete the registration of the features, and get the match parameters to register the two images. The experiment results tested are shown that the proposed algorithm is accurate and effective.
