  • Abstract
    The maintenance support level of armies has an important effect on their integrated combat efficiencies. How to evaluate the capability of a given maintenance support network is very important for equipment maintenance support scheduling. This paper proposes an object-oriented Petri net (OOPN) based approach for modeling and analyzing the capability of the maintenance support network. First, it presents the process of mission, equipment failure, maintain and transporting spare part using Petri net model. Second, it provides the object-oriented approach for combining all Petri net modules into a whole system Petri net model. Third, the simulation algorithm of the OOPN model is given and the mission success probability which is chosen as the evaluation index value of the network capability is analyzed. The method provides good modularity, reusability and maintainability and can be well applied to maintenance support system in modern times.
