  • Abstract
This paper proposes a new simulation model for emergency evacuation of civil aircrafts taking into account of influences from passengers´ physical attributes. The new model uses the staggered mesh discretization method to generate evacuation map and the intelligent agent-based model to simulate evacuation process. With the proposed model, artificial passengers are able to enter the same cell if they have the same moving directions in the simulation process. In addition, the influences from physical attributes of passengers on the evaluation time are incorporated into the simulation. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated via a case study.
