Abstract :
A new rapid star acquisition method is presented. At first, the characteristic of digital star image is analyzed and the thresholding method for image segmentation is discussed. By use of the optimal thresholding method, the practicable automatic threshold is found. Then the connectivity of segmented star image is analyzed to remove the error object. Thus the overall star acquisition is performed and the containing rectangle of the star in the image is obtained. The theoretical analysis and experimental results show the effectiveness and practicability.
