Abstract :
By means of macro and micro aspect examination, the two different mechanisms which lead to the high pressure PTFE hose crack has been studied. The results show that the wrong installation and the nick on the inner surface of the PTFE hose are the primary factors which influence the reliability of the PTFE hose during in commission. In the course of using, micro-cracks gradually develop into cracks and lead to the hose beginning to leak. Improving reliabilities measures have been discussed from the installation.
